Young Readers Awarded Across the Borough

Harrow Libraries’ Favourite Book Competition has revealed the winners this week.

Through drawing a picture, writing a review or designing a book jacket, children across the borough had the chance to tell everyone something about their favourite book.

Over 50 prizes were distributed among eager children aged 2 to 12 years old, with favourite titles ranging from 'The Gruffalo' by Julia Donaldson to 'Gangsta Granny' by David Walliams.
The prize itself will be a book and a certificate. Other highly commended and interesting entries will also receive recognition] the cleaners in Harrow said.
Harrow Council Portfolio Holder for Community and Culture, Cllr Nizam Ismail, said he is very happy that so many children hand the opportunity ot show their creative skills in writing reviews or drawing about their favourite books. He also assured that the Council will be strongly encouraging and supporting any future events of the type.
